Looks v. clean from the pics, and if you look at the throttle cable assembly under the bonnet, you can tell that it also has cruise control fitted. Shame about the lack of leather though, the light cloth interior doesn't do it for me.

They don't show you the side of the engine where you can clearly make out the paint is coming off the rocker cover. Looks like a damn good jetwash and detail to me. Low milage granted but it's amazing what gremlins one can hide with a good valet.

Does look like a nice shiny one, but as Guy has just said, shiny bits can hide some serious shortfalls.
Have a look at the service history and all the reciepts detailing what has been replaced and when, if possible get it to a specialist to have a good poke around and inspection.
It may only be a 4K car, but M power cars can and will bite with some fairly serious bills.

I suggest you read this thread and maybe email the OP as I think he looked at it and there were a few problems with it noted in the the below thread:

http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a... all E36 M3's have boot spoilers & badges?

''that one you posted for sale by dandycars was kinda ok, but... damp inside, smelt a bit mouldy - do the heater matrix's go on these cars? same issue with that one that was up for 6k - it was really wet inside.

geometry was completely off - wheel at 45deg with the seller having to keep it in a straight line - been pranged into a kerb etc.?

told me as we backed out that it had the wrong type of power steering fluid in it so it would squeal. why not put the right stuff in?! surely squealing suggests the pump isn't too happy on that grade

otherwise, missing a washer jet, completely dead battery, and knocking from the rear - is this the trailing arm bushes or more in depth with the z link setup? have never seen the rear setup before''

Hi JDS 123 ~ not sure if you specifically want a 3.0 but my EVO's going to be up for sale next week if you're interested. Currently swapping the number plate onto another car then I'll be placing the ad.

My EVO is the one from the 'E36 M3 EVO upgrades' thread on PH.

http://pistonheads.co.uk/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&amp...

You're certainly welcome to come have look if it helps; looking at several and seeing how they drive sorts the good ones from the 'less well cared for' examples out there. PM me if you're interested.

My 3.0 M3 was near identical spec. I luuuuuurved the colour combo. That ad for that car brings back a lot of good memories.

That's a hell of a lot of car for the money!

If the car is genuine, it is a great buy. Nice colour and still looks smart.

I love avus blue, its an amazing colour in the flesh. But IMHO needs a black full leather interior or dark vader cloth seats retrofitted, to bring out the best in it!
