Can anyone recommend someone who can undertake a comprehensive PPI on an E46 M3 please? Obviously don't want the run of the mill AA/RAC type.

For Porsche cars Peter Morgan is one of the best out there - just wondering if there is an equivalent for E46 M3s?

Two possible cars are in the West Midlands and West Yorkshire (both private sales).

Thanks.

Get the guy who will be servicing it for you to look at it?

Thats what I did before I got the M5.

Thanks for the comments - problem is that my local specialist is 2 hours from the cars I am looking at hence needing someone more local to the cars current location.

Why don't you get the local main dealer to do a check over of the car, I've had these done before and they are quite comprehensive, ( a couple of hundred quid ).
At least then you will get a written report and a good bargaining tool if anything is spotted.

I did this knowing the dealer will highlight every leak and worn component they come across. Very useful for piece of mind and as bargaining tool. They can also suppy quotes to fix any work required which gives you a ballpark figure to take into account when calculating your emergency M fund*
