The silver M3 at this dealer looks like good value to me:

What is the general opinion of fellow PHers?

I know it is pre facelift and grey interior isn't for everyone but it has low mileage, is in a nice colour and seems like a lot of car for a little over £10k.

Appreciate any comments.

It's a nice car mate but i don't think it competes with others out there, It depends if you like the colour combo I suppose.

looks clean enough quite nice mileage, but that is where it stops, grey interior is awful esp on a tit silver car, will make it harder come resale, hardly any spec either, has a sunroof tho, wouldnt say good value, priced about right from a dealer.

But as always if you like it have it, but do your research first, imho theres a lot more out there with more spec for the same money, its a buyers market at the mo, I'd would want to be buying that for a 4 figure sum

Thanks guys - appreciate your comments.

To be honest I am not wild on silver - my problem is that I am struggling to find something which ticks my boxes - it might be a buyers market but I can't seem to find what I want:

- coupe only
- must be manual
- max 70k miles (less preferred)
- Carbon or Imola preferred but other colours considered (not Phoenix)
- must have full history inc 1200 mile run in service
- would prefer only a couple of owners but that may not be realistic (my concern with 4 or 5 owner cars is that there is a higher risk that money will have been saved on servicing etc)

There are plenty of "nice to haves" of course but off the top of my head I can't think of any of them being deal breakers.

Max £12k (and at that I don;t want to be buying new tyres of having an Inspection 2 next month!!)

(There was a car at Marcus Fothergill recently that I would have bought but it was sold by the time I saw the advert)

Thanks.

Link 1 - looks fine but aside from a different colour interior (which I appreciate might help come resale time (but I'm more concerned with buying than selling at the moment!) I don't see it offers much over the car I linked for a £1.5k premium, unless I am missing something?

Link 2 - saw this car and it looks OK but I thought the interior was worse than the grey one I linked!! Is the blue interior generally better accepted than grey?

Link 3 - wrong gearbox (aside from that minor matter it looks excellent).

Re link 1, this car has a lot of extras, hk sound upgrade, and heated seats, what your looking for is a full row of buttons just above the gearstick, thats a private sale, knock 1k of and you'll be on to a winner, dont worry about the red seats, I would be more than happy to swap with my heated black ones

I had a carbon with grey interior a couple of years back.
Admittedly the interior/ exterior was a contrast but nevertheless I really liked the grey.
Most black interiors at the time were shiny and a bit cheap looking IMO.

This was on low mileage £25k cars.
Hence I was happy to have a light interior which if in good condition looked classy.

Got to look after the carpets though!,

yes

Very "John Major" colour scheme, however the sunroof option makes it quite desireable IMO ..... I really wanted a sunroof car, however the option is rare, and I couldn't find one in budget at the time.

Very "John Major" Great choice of words! Cant stand the grey leather myself to be honest. When i was looking for an M3,a couple of estoril blue cars came up,one of which i went to view and was completely put off by the grey interior.Red or black in my opinion.

The Estoril cars I saw also had grey leather when I was looking. Estoril wasn't top of my list, however I was dying to find an Estoril with black leather to see how it looked.
