E46 M3 eml & dsc light on after battery was unplugged for 3w

I unplugged the battery for 3 weeks because I was on holiday. Car started up great but the eml and the dsc light are on and the car is in 'limp mode' from what I have read online. It was driving great before I left.

Any ideas?

Know of a good independent in the Guildford/ Surrey area?

I unplugged the battery because last time the car battery (about 6months old) died after 3 weeks when I was away.

Done some research and came across this:

My SMG seems fine, no cog, just the EML and the DSC lights are on.
