E39 M5 Central Locking - Advice Needed

Hi,

A couple of times over the winter, the battery on my M5 went flat. I recharged it each time, but on the second occasion the remote central locking stopped working (it still operates using the key manually though). All other electrics seem fine.

It is the same for both keys, so I've ruled that out.

Is this something I can sort out (fuse, etc) or is it a trip to my local dealer?

Any suggestions welcome.

had the same problem with mine.
Turned out to be a fault with the wiring loom in the boot
