I drive around 30-40 miles a day of mixed motorway and town driving, then the occasional weekend blast

Never got anything above 18.2mpg

Interestingly, the figures changed from (I think) the 2010 MY.
Pre 2010
Non-DCT = 22.8mpg (295g/km)
DCT = Cannot find the detail (285g/km)

2010 onwards
Non-DCT = 22.8mpg (290g/km)
DCT = 25.2mpg (263g/km)

Also interesting to note that I just searched the AUC website and of the first 30 cars I looked at, only 1 was a manual!

N.B. Figures are from the combined cycle.

That would be because the 2010MY onwards have stop start on them i believe, how that makes them anymore economical in the real world is beyond me

I'm averaging around 17 mpg with around 7k annual mileage.

The worst or is that best was around 11 mpg.

ETA that's for an 08 model.

I just sold my E90 M3 2010 model, averaged 22.8 MPG over 10K miles, with the DCT box, economy was great.

Giving serious thought to a Droptop with DCT i'll be using it for the commute so will just have to accept the £150 a month more in fuel that it'll cost me than a 635d

Over 8k miles mine has averaged 23.3mpg (actual) and 24.1mpg (onboard computer) - lots enthusiastic driving and motorway miles but very little in town traffic.

mine has averaged just over 21mpg over around 7K miles, that includes a lot of local runarounds, some motorway miles and a trip to the South of France with a roofbox on!
