Jay Kay has just had that car fully restored with a new cooling system and a Xenon kit. A must own car one day and he knows his BMW's. Nice E30 too.

Never knew he had one of those. I suppose he is more well known for his love of Fezza's and Lambos. Still, he has a 911 2.7RS too so he must like the Germans too smile

The more cars that you own the fewer miles you drive. I dread to think about how much Jay Kay pays each year in road tax. Not all of his cars are pre 73.

I had to drive it 'back' once and that's only because I had to lend the trailer to the wreckage of Sindens rather bent E30.laugh

It's retired from track duty these days, too valuable. It's off to Classic Restorations in Scotland after the summer to have the same treatment the E-type had, then it will be for very special occasions only.

Yes...and I think he sold it to a mate and then eventually bought it back. I actually got stopped by him a couple of years ago when i was walking the dog, he wanted to ask me about the hound. Just came across as a very nice person...I should have offered to swap the dog for on of his cars for the weekend rolleyes

The first car magazine I bought was a copy of Street Machine and this was because of an E9 CSL on the front cover. Fantastic cars (as is the e30).
