From experience, the Evo will yes, because of the vanos they have huge in gear tug not unlike the diesel, the only difference is that when the diesel's running out of puff at just before 5k and you have to pull another gear, the M3 gets marching like you wouldn't believe a sub £5k car could. So yes, it probably will be noticeabley quicker, especially over 100mph (on private property, obviously..)

Strange question. The Exeo weighs nearly 100 kilos more than an e36 M3 and compared to an Evo, is over 100BHP down.

Pretty obvious answer I would think.
