It's quite plausible due to the low miles that the service indicator hasn't asked for the car to be serviced more than twice. Doesn't mean it's a good idea to run the same oil for that long (oil changed every 3 years?). The service book says oil should only be kept 2years maximum if the vehicle has low usuage.
197 mph indeed. Very poor advert imo, and would steer me clear even if I genuinely wanted the car.

You are right - service every 2 years or on service indicator - wouldn't touch a performance car if servicing has been skimped on. Except for the spoiler a nice looking car though. 197 mph indeed. Very poor advert imo, and would steer me clear even if I genuinely wanted the car.

197 hahaha
A bit of an overestimate. But go and look up e46 m3 on Wikipedia - it reckons 191!
..... but losing the 5PS on the US models slashes the delimited potential to only 170mph!
Given a long enough straight, I could just about see a delimted E46 nudging its way off of the standard speedo to a GPS / genuine high-160s, or maybe 170 with a following wind. A standard car would never, IMO, have the power to drag relationship necessary to get much further, and certainly nowhere near 190mph.
