Anyone know of any BMW mobile mechanics in the Surrey/Berks/London area?

The clutch on my e46 SMG M3 has started to judder every now and then. Im keen to get it looked at without being fleeced by a stealer!

Cheers

You will be very lucky to find a mobile mechanic to do an SMG clutch. Take it to a good independent garage who have ramps and the correct software to teach in the clutch bite point.

Ok. Perhaps a tad ambitious there - although I do have the facility with a ramp.

Anyone recommendations for a good indie in this neck of the woods? Normally I use Munich Legends but hell of a distance for a diagnosis.

The thing is, every garge you go to will recommend pulling the box as they cant diagnose without seeing the parts. A clutch reset might help in the (very) short term but if its getting on in miles since the last clutch refit then it'll probably be time for a new set.

don't know about mobile, but I have used Chris Plummer in Aldershot (easy to get to from the A3) for my BMWs. No complaints so far, seems very competent and professional
