My golf was needing a service so I dropped it off yesterday. So, with some spare time I had a look round the BMW dealership which is close by. Not much caught me eye really. No M5's or M6's around. There was a competition M3 in the dealership window. I think that's what it's called. TBH it was the wheels that did it. Does anyone know if these are the same as the CSL wheels. They seem really deep at the back. Maybe I've seen to many replica's on non M cars..

I should have taken a photo, but they don't do these wheels any justice..

They're the ZCP wheels with a slightly narrower front (8j as opposed to a 8.5j on the CSL wheel) if I'm not mistooken!

The alloys on the current e92 competition are different to CSL alloys. IIRC the competition alloys have a slight kink in each spoke whereas the CSLs do not.

By way of comparison, this is a CSL wheel that I had on an earlier e46:

This is a Competition wheel on my currect E92:

Subtle differences that are probably accentuated by photo angle and resolution.

Think I prefer the ZCP wheels. Your right there was a kink on the spokes. Photos don't do them justice. Would they fit a Z4M ? Would they be less expensive than the CSL alloys..

They do fit, and they're a little cheaper than the CSL wheels.

Are you sure Play, someone told me the offset was completely different for the E92 wheels? If I end up with an E92 I would like to take my CSLs with me you see.

Rears are the same width, fronts are slightly narrower than the CSLs (ZCP = 8j, CSL 8.5j). Couldn't tell you what the weight differences are but google can I'm sure.

There are definitely people running ZCP wheels on the Z4M over on the ZPOST forums. Either way, I have the CSLs on mine. smile

I don't think those are the same zcps though. Certainly not the ones on the e92. I could be wrong I just know that the csl rims will not fit on an e92.

The E46 cs came with the same rears as the csl but narrower fronts as you say, the wheels kenz saw are from the competition spec e92 which are different again. But your right I have seen zcp wheels on us cars.
