Ear plugs - do you?
Discussion
I obviously have loads of earplugs for my bike. Popped a pair in today for a 100 mile roof down motorway blast - awesome. Was in the higher reaches of leptonia and had no wind noise whatsoever!
It's like... they tune out the high pitched noise and the rest remains - ie the Bose was pumping the tunes and it sounded pretty good - if missing some of the treble.

Good God no! I've spent a lot of money on my exhaust and supercharger so I want to make sure I do hear it!
Seriously though, no, I really don't find the road/wind noise annoying at all. I've driven home from Livingston to Wokingham with the top down with only one fuel stop without a problem!

I think I should start using them! I had a hearing test for a job medical recently and was told I have slight noise induced deafness in my left ear - the only thing I can pin it to is the battering my left side gets from the wind whipping over and around the windscreen and side windows!
I don't wear earplugs but I do wear these, which have the same effect http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B001EZYMF4/
Means I can hoof it along with the roof down, listening to my tunes in much better quality than Mazda intended. You can still hear what's going on around you, they just cut out the white noise.
Because each of them has a little rubber flange.

I used to in mine when I had a 125 mile journey to do twice a weekend. Far too much wind noise not to. Funnily enough I found it made me drive faster actually. Note: I had earplugs already from motorbiking, I don't think I'd have purposefully gone out to get some. When I sold it, a crazy Swedish person drove it back to Sweden 1400 miles, and I don't think he used earplugs. Hardcore.
