Think I need to look at the insulation under the central armrest housing thing - although it does keep the hand warm in winter!

This fixes it. Although, not for all that long. The seem to wear again quite quickly. Definately worth doing though.

Get an old pillow rip open and take out the padding, its fireproof, cut to size and fit around the gear knob, thats what I did much better insulation and no warmth coming through.
