Rear caliper adjusting screw MKI Eunos
Discussion
Pedal travel was excessive so I checked rear brake adjusting screw. Drivers side took just one turn and pads against disk, however passenger side took about 6 turns. Pedal much better afterwards. Now after a week the pedal travel is the same and I checked the rear passenger side and it took 6 turns to get pads adjusted again.
Rear callipers are about 18months old so any idea what’s going on?

It sounds like the adjuster/screw could be buggered - were the calipers new or refurbished? I've heard stories of the teeth on the self adjusters stripping/wearing through age or over zealous or incorrect use.
I'm not 100% on how the handbrake self-adjusters work, but the only way I can think of to check that nothings stripped or broken is to strip and rebuild the caliper, which isn't too big a job.

Less likely to be the adjuster, and much more likely to be a sticky slider pin - especially as your calipers are quite new.
Make sure the calipers can freely move, of not when you apply the handbrake the pad engages, but when you release that side won't back off from the disc, causing excessive wear on that sides pads, and explains the aforementioned uneven adjustment.
