After much deliberation I think I've settled on which wheels I'm going to buy. Before hitting the button I just wanted to check the spec. is right.....

Car is a Mark 1 Eunos roadster.

Wheels will be 15x7, 4x100. et can be 28 or 35 so I'm favouring 28. Tyres to be 195/50's.

Car has Rokkor lowered suspension and already running on 15's.

Does that all make sense??

Go for ET35, the closer you get to factory offset (which varies between 38-45) the better the handling will be.

Yes it all makes sense. With 7 inch width the offset can be less than 35 and still not stick out of the arches. (My 8's with ET30 are just inside.)

Don't forget the bore size has to be compatible. On an MX5 it's 54.1mm and most other cars are bigger so all you should need is a set of spigot rings in a worst case scenario. Most of the aftermarket wheel manufacturers standardise on 72.1mm, some even include the spigot rings. If not just ask for a set of 72.1 x 54.1 spigot rings.

Brilliant! Thanks for that.

The wheels are a dished design so I would prefer them to be nearer to flush with the arches for the look to make sense iyswim...

Spigot info noted, many thanks. thumbup

28 offset is fine, it's only 7mm different and is not going to make a massive difference, it's only when you go from like 42 to 0 offset that you start to run into trouble. some tyres are more sensitive to tramlining than others which can make it worse.

I've just put 15x7 et24's on my mk1, on 195/50 Toyo T1R's and they're perfect.
