Not litres or m3, but centimetres. Can some kind soul tell me the width and height of a mk3 boot?

The boot floor has a dip in the middle - I'm looking for the height from the higher part of the floor. And width of the whole boot (although the size of the opening would be nice too).

I know I could get a rack, or Bootbag, but they won't do for my needs. I've developed a bit of an obsession for a 2.0 Sport of late, but the luggage space is important.

TIA smile

What are you planning on putting in?
It's a weird shape though, a mate and I managed to do a 5,000 mile road trip in it last Summer, with a tent, sleeping bags, pillows, and all the clothes for two weeks, as well as two reasonably sized camera bags and associated gear with no trouble at all.

Opening is 36x16 inches.
Actual boot is 46x20 inches at its largest point.
It's 12 inches deep to the shallow point, an extra three inches to the bottom of the centre bit.

That's superb, thanks! It looks big enough. I have a need to carry a couple of large boxes on a fairly regular basis, and I reckon they'd go in! I do have other cars that can carry the load, but why buy an MX5 and not use it, eh? biggrin

wink

It's best colour and spec (I think). Although I'm also thinking about Winning Blue or Copper Read with a colour-coded dash-panel.

I don't modify my cars, and now I'm modifying one I haven't even bought!
