I have a mk2 coming up to 70k miles and now it has got me back from the Nurburging on piece I want to treat it to the following

Full service including new gearbox fluid, belts and waterpump
Under sealing (as the sills are currently rust free ļ )

Can anyone recommend a garage nearish to Islington and what I¡¦m likely to pay?

Nice to have¡¦s on top would be wheel alignment (felt fine and was done a year ago by wim)
Maybe braided brake lines and fluid change (fluids as part of service)as I was getting brake fade after a lap

And can anyone suggest some decent rubber that is cheaper than Toyo 888¡¦s?

Would recommend Freelance Mazda in Chatham - http://www.freelancemazda.co.uk/eunos.htm

Got my cambelt done there and was far cheaper than anywhere else and its not too far from Islington.
They do a full service and cambelt for £150. Waterpump is around £70 extra IIRC. Not sure if gearbox oil would be included but shouldn't be too much extra.

Pretty sure if you asked him about other stuff you would get a good price too.

Speak with Maztek in Slough. Not too far from Islington (an hour maybe), but Alan there is great with the '5s!

What sort of rubber are you after? Track only, road & track or road only?

I've got a '97 mk1 1.8. Last week had the following done by Dandycars in Gants Hill.

Full service
Cambelt, waterpump, idler and tensioner
Rocker cover gasket
Camshaft oil seals
Crankshaft front oil seal
Diff oil change (Redline fully synth)
Gearbox oil change (Redline fully synth)
Clutch fluid change

Came to just over £600.

I was impressed by their work and it is going back in next week to be undersealed for £150.

You could do that yourself with a can of Waxoyl underseal and a paintbrush!
