Anybody taken the 160Bhp MX5 Sport tech to 200Bhp?

Some info for those interested - price might put you off!
Thank you for your enquiry.
Whilst we have great deal of experience and success tuning the Duratec 2lt engine, and circa 200 bhp , is a conversion we make, along with the throttle bodies you mention we normally fit updated camshafts as well.
Also, on our Duratec conversions we use an after-market ECU with a bespoke fuel and ignition map.
Therefore the conversion can be made but will include the above and be priced accordingly, from £3000.00 + Vat Subject to the condition of the base engine etc.
We trust this assists you.

BBR S/C is 5k + VAT for 245bhp.
That's more than just an SC though isn't it? I thought that was a full car refresh... MP62 from Moss would be around that + fitting.
It's not the Mk1/2 we're talking about though, Mk3+ is a completely different kettle of fish and if you want an NA tuned engine it's always relatively expensive to get decent reliable power.

That's what my post was looking towards - £3k for 200bhp from the NC engine kept N/A versus £3k(ish) for 190bhp from a NB engine gone FI. Tuning the NC engine seems pretty good value imo!MP62 from Moss would be around that + fitting.

No not for the Mk3 Lazza - that's for the S/C and all the gubbins.
Ah right, I thought you meant the Mk1 kit

Except 190bhp is a 50bhp increase over 140bhp compared to 200bhp being a 40bhp increase over 160bhp. Percentage wise it's less value in terms of bhp% increase
