Smallest wheel size on a Mk3 sport?
Discussion
Looking to buy a set of wheels for the Arctic Tundra which is no doubt set to arrive next week. With that in mind and also my ever diminishing, pre-wedding bank account what are the smallest wheels I'd get away with on a Mk3 sport?
Ideally 15s so I can bung on the ever-cheap 195/50/15s

That doesn't mean 15s won't fit. Mk2.5 Sport was only ever supplied with 16" wheels but most 15s do fit over the big Sport brakes. You might just have to try one to see if it can fit. Being 5-stud you can't use wheels from older MX5s though.
Do they have a space-saver spare? If so, what size is that?

Thats the thing, to find a wheel in the same fitment but in a 15" to try and see if it fits.

They're on back order I'm afraid.

Mind you, by the time you fanny around with a new set of wheels etc you would almost be at a set of winter rubber.
Cheapest winter runner I can find in 205/47/17 is ~£145 which is a bit of a wallet buster at this time
