Fuel pump fitting + comedy wiring

Morning all,

I've just been under the car to replace the fuel filter, in a vain hope of curing a stutter. However how the hell do I undo the retaining bracket? The fastning in green is defeating me!





Also, I removed the plastic below the steering wheel, looks like someones been having fun with the wiring before I bought it!

that wiring is ehm, disgusting, have you been under the tape to make sure it is all kosher?

Not yet.

Worryingly though, there is a loose aftermarket alarm/immob ecu in the engine bay (which doesn't work) and some un-illuminated LEDs in the cockpit.

I think if I start playing I may end up tripping something.
