Anyone know what size wheels will clear the mk2.5 sports brakes?

I stupidly bought mk1 14" alloy wheels and had them fitted with snow tyres as i was away.

They dont clear the brakes!

Some 15s will, but it is dependent on the clearance of the spokes as it is known that some 15s won't clear them.
A quick search on the MX-5 forums should confirm whether the rims will clear sport brakes or not; unfortunately, if no one has tried the particular wheels you're after, you need to bite the bullet and try!
I'm still umming and aahing about doing that with OZ Superleggeras on mine... scratchchin
Or Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2s... wink

14" steels dont fit.. damn!

gonna have to sell the wheels and tyres now and hunt down 15"s

will 15" wheels with a 45 offset fit front and back?? planning on running 195/50/15s i reacon they should given its running 205's at the moment.

I have a set of Rota C10 ET45 with 195/50/15 on mine (my track wheels). I fit them with 5mm spacers but only to bring the offset back to 40mm, not for clearance.

Good to know about the latter, thanks! A possible wheel choice in the future...

So clearence is fine at the front? the rears have a 42 offset as std anyway so im not worried about that.

Absolutely no clearance problems on mine and it's been pretty low in the past! I thought standard offset on Mk2.5 was 38mm. I guess there were a lot of different styles of "standard" wheel so some might have different offset. They should be the same front & rear though.

I'm pretty sure you're wrong wink
I don't think any MX5 has had different wheels front/rear.
