Just taken the car out for a run this morning and steam started appearing from the engine bay. Thought it was condensation heating up on the engine at first, but on stopping and checking it out I've found a hose is fouling the manifold:

It disappears into the bulkhead on one end, and then onto a metal pipe that runs towards the front of the car (I think possibly the aircon pump). Is it the heating circuit? Am stting it because I've got to get it to Freelance on Monday for it's yearly check-up and I'm not sure it's going to make it now.

I think they feed water to/from the heater matrix.

Definitely heater hose. Replaced both of mine last year - I figured if one had failed the other would probably go. And whilst I am there I may as well replace both.

It should have some silver heat wrap over it shouldn't it? Think mine does.

I'll ask Mark to sort it out for me. Main concern is it p!ssing fluid out all over the place on the way down to him. I fear it's split and don't know if it's safe to drive. Is the fluid shared with the rad or separate circuit?
