After 5 years, tonight my wife and I just had our last drive in our beautiful Mk2.5 1.8i Euphonic. We have had to 'up size' as soon we will be a family of 3.

My wife didn't cry when I proposed, she didn't cry at our wedding, but tonight it's looking like we will have some tears...

... and not all of them will be hers whistle

I never thought I'd be this devastated.

With the prices of the Mk1, you'll no doubt be able to pick up a weekend car in the future. Best of luck with the new arrival. smile

I dont think I will able to ever sell mine. I have just got a new job that will have me doing over 500 miles a week and for a fleeting moment I thought about selling the MX5 and getting a diesel but then realised that I just couldnt do it. I love my car so much and even the idea of me not having it fills me with dread.

Hope you are able to get another one soon.

Mine's still tucked up. I've considered moving it on as the weather improves, but finding something that has 4 seats, and is as much fun to drive and own for the same money hasn't been easy.

I thought I'd be gutted when my old one went, and I was a bit upset when it went, but that feeling went when the new one arrived...

We now have a lovely CX-7 which has enough familiar parts to soften the blow (MX5 steering wheel for a start).

Talk about a culture shock though on the size difference! That will take some adjusting to.

It is a good choice, a friend has one, lovely bit of kit. Ouchy on the car tax though!
