So picture the scene....

Me with a 1.8 mk1 mx5 wandering the scrap yard hunting for the rear wishbones off an mx5 for another I'm working on, get all excited when I see a eunos with lovely uprated front discs (slotted and drilled) nice pads and newish looking calipers. So I whip the calipers and discs off, get stung for the "uprated discs mate" and make my way merrily home......

Yes I did forget 1.6 mx5s have a smaller disk!

People generally feel that it's not worth getting slotted/drilled disks for the MX5 and the OEM disks are good enough.

Also the slotted & drilled discs aren't worth the extra. They are all looks over performance. I hated the ones I had on my old Mk1 (EBC Turbogroove). Noisy with no performance gain at all.

At least you can probably sell them on for a reasonable price wink

Buy a set of 1.8 carriers and upgrade the brakes. It's easy to do and well worth being able to stop quicker.

I'm confused and seemed to have misread.

So you bought drilled and grooved 1.6 discs by mistake?
