Radio has stopped working
Discussion
The radio in my Eunos has stopped working for some reason, and I can't figure out why...
It was fine a few weeks ago and then a week or so ago it started working intermittently - I'd start the car up and then drive for half a mile and then it would come on and stay on until I got home. Now, however, it has stopped switching on at all.
Strangely the lights on the buttons come on if the headlights are switched on (this would normally happen if the lights were on and the radio was off), but the radio won't switch on properly when the power switch is pressed.
I've tried a different radio and get similar results.
I've tried disconnecting/reconnecting the various connectors and jiggling the wires to no avail. I've also checked all the fuses (in the back of the radio and next to the bonnet release) and they're all ok.
Upon checking the wiring with a multimeter it seems that the yellow & black wire (permanent supply) is showing 12v all the time (presumably as it should), but the red & black wire (switch supply) is only showing about 1v when the ignition is in either of position 1 or 2.
Is there anything else I should be checking...?!
TIA

Ta guys.
The earth seems fine
According to the wiring diagram on the tops of the radios the red & black is the switch and the yellow & black is the permanent supply. The red and black one is the one only showing about 1v when the key is turned.
Any ideas on how I should proceed? I don't know what to do now!

So now it seems that the cigarette lighter socket doesn't seem to be working either. I just rang a garage and they reckon it might be a fuse. Does anyone know which fuse this might be? My fuse cover is all in Japanese!
I did check them before, but I guess swapping out the relevant fuse to test it can't do any harm.
