MK1 MX5 Alternator beg.

Bit of a big ask this!
I have 2 MX5 MK1s 1.8 models.
One is my Ex girlfriends that I have been fixing up for the MOT (massive job, welded the sills, floors, rear bulkhead, replaced shocks, brakes etc.) And the Alternator.
Mine is a grotty old thing that's getting scrapped in 2 months.
Her car needed an alternator so I went to the scrapyard and pulled a virtually identical unit off a 323.
But....
The 323 has the same type of alternator as a Mk2 Mx5 which has the regulator circuit built in to the ecu. So I need an MX5 MK1 1.8 (because the pulleys are different on 1.6) alternator.
I don't mind pulling it off mine to get her mobile but I don't want to pay for a new unit or even a £50 used unit off ebay just for a couple of months of driving.
So does anyone (ideally local to Yorks but not essential if you don't mind sticking it in a box) have a cheap 1.8 alternator kicking round or happy to lend one for a month or 2?
If you have a NS rear caliper too even better.
Alternatively do you know if the 1.6 alternator is the same bar the pulley and if I swap pulleys it will work?
