Removing seats - Help needed

Hi

Got some replacement seats for my mk1, having problems undoing the bolts, only managed to undo the front 2 bolts, can't budge the rear bolts.

Any tips on how to loosen them easily or any specific tools that would make it easier?

I struggled as well but in the end putting a socket on and hitting with a hammer did the trick!

ISTR that the problem is access when they are stuck.

Try a hex (not star) socket and a breaker bar if you can get it in. Usual things - try doing it up, releasing fluid, give it a whack with a hammer... Heat is a bit risky given the carpet!

I admitted defeat on the one that was stuck and got my mechanic to do it.

A long breaker bar with a long extension should allow you to get some real strength behind it.
