So as I was clearing out the front drain holes on my MK1 yesterday evening I noticed the drivers side front tyre has worn heavily on the inside whereas all the other tyres (all replaced at the same time) have worn evenly.

Is there any obvious cause of this? I have so far put it down to it often being underinflated as it seems to lose air for no reason over time (its done this ever since it was fitted) although I do regularly top the air up.

Anyway im having all the tyres replaced now so i'll keep a close on the replacement.

When did you last have the alignment checked/adjusted?

Never. This was my second choice for the cause of the uneven wear.

It's the most likely cause by a long way.

it's alignment. underinflated tyre would cause wear on both shoulders rather than just the inside.
