I need to replace rain rain on mk1 Eunos.

Pictures of the procedure would be a great help as I am not that good with the spanners..

I have searched here for a link to this but can't find it.

Any help would be great as would a source for a replacement.

I'm told the Mk 2 rail is better than the mark 1.

Regards
Steady Eddie

Are you a member of MX5nutz.com? Pretty sure there's a guide with pics on there.

i find the miata site in the us help full. if you search for the hood replacement it will help. it is a easy job to do. I repaired mine with plastic. I have a water tight Miata. I did find a leak around the stop light though. So be care full to check if you are trying to find the leak first.

Thanks Vin

Do I fit the rain rail onto the hood first or do I place the rail on the studs and then attach the hood.

Maybe a stupid question, but I don't want to make a horlicks.

The roof is originally rivited to the rain rail, then the rain rail is clamped in by the plates you see behind the carpet. Riveting the new rain rail is not necessary. The best way to do it, is to put your replacement rain rail in position, then add some silicon in around the holes for the bolts and previous rivet holes. Sandwich the roof betwen the rain rail (its profile is horseshoe shaped)then place the other section of rain rail onto each bolt. More silicon here, the put the securing plates in places and tighten them down - there is advice to do it this way...

It's a bit scary to do, but really not that difficult. Ensure the drain flaps of your roof behind the seat belt areas feed into the rain rail!
