The bushes on the rear ARB are knackered. (as were the drop links)

Is there an upgrade that's worth it? While buggering about with the bushes it would be the ideal time. So I'm pondering options.

1)Just replace OEM bushes
2)Poly Bush
3)Upgrade ARBs

Depends on what suspension you have?
The RX8 Roll bars are a cheap upgrade......

Nevermind. A higher power has reminded me I'm deliberately leaving this car standard for easy insurance and because it's their daily driver...

It does still need a visit to Sheffield though for ... adjustment ... of the standard parts.

Just out of interest were there any symptoms for the knackered bushes?

my mk3 crashes over bumps where the suspension is at compression or extension (i.e. speed humps), particularly when cold (i.e. most of the time at the moment!) it has had an appetite in the past for front drop links, could the noise be related to the ARB bushes?

All I can say is we identified a "clonk" on rough surfaces and asked them to check over the suspension during a service to make sure it was all good. Which it wasn't but at least it's not a bust spring.

Get a quote from the insurance company for this upgrade? If it's silly, then accidentally forget to tell them you did it? whistle

Every year at renewal time I send my insurance company a document detailing every modification my car has, all the way down to upgraded headlight bulbs. The only mods that have any affect on the price are the supercharger and roll bars. As for the rest, I just want to make sure that, in the case of a claim, everything is covered and also to cover myself so that they can't claim that I didn't inform them of anything which gives them the excuse to not pay out at all.
