Any idea what I would be looking for a classic policy say 5k p.a on a 1.8 Mk1 Mx5? I already have a couple of daily's in mine and the gf's name so should meet all of the criteria?

I'm 42, declared wheels, exhaust and shocks on my old Eunos 1.6 and mine with Sureterm is £140 a year.

They also just paid out nearly double what their first offer was due to it being smashed up and me sending them an email with a more realistic and expected figure in mind.

Is that with any NCD on the policy quote - I realise many classic policies don't give NCD themselves. I'm considering a Eunos, and have similar criteria !

I had my Mk1 Fiesta insured on a classic policy with Lancaster a few years ago, and was accruing NCD. Maybe worth trying them.

Im 25, 2 years ncd on another car and an accident. And i was paying £650 for 5k miles on my 1.6 mk1 last year.
That was through adrian flux. However im sure you can find better deals than that.
I already have on my modified mk1 eunos for this month when it gets back on the road.

I've just been quoted £350 from greenlight. 25 with 7 years ncb all mods declared and allow you up to 180bhp without extra charge. Mines a 94 RS-ltd eunos. They also do agreed value at no extra cost and provide track day insurance for £35 a day!

Is that NCB being used on that policy, or is it just being taken into account?

1995 1.8 Eunos S-Special uprated suspension, wheels, roll bar and exhaust all declared. Classic policy, 5k per annum, 47 years old in Sussex - £198 through Footman James.

NCD is irrelevant with classic policies.

I'm 23 and tried getting classic quotes for a 1.6 but due to my age I couldn't really get any quotes.

However I did get it down to under £400 through normal insurance companies.
