i, getting the cambelt and waterpump replaced , and would like to replace the antifreeze at the same time

i understand that the car has an iron block and an alloy head

will i be able to use the red type of antifreeze?
is it true that the red antifreeze lasts longer?
any other advantages/disadvantages/factors that i should be considering?

thank-you

you're fine to use the red stuff and yes it lasts longer. However, it is not compatible with the blue which you would have had previously so make sure the rad, pipes, and engine block are thoroughly flushed out with water before you refill.
