Water in the sill ?

I keep hearing water slosh around in the passenger side foot well so I pulled the plastic trim off so I could see into the sills and I discoved water in there but I can't figure out were its come from or why it isn't running away.

Clear your drain holes!

They're towards the rear on the inside of the sills.

To elaborate on the above, buy some curtain wire. Behind the seat belt towers you will find two holes, feed the curtain wire down these and you will see it pop out the bottom of the sill, in your case, hopefully with a load of crud and water!

Remember there are two sets of drain holes - hood drain which run from inside the seatbelt tower down to he inside of the sills and are cleaned with curtain wire or a bit of electrical cable, but also each sill has drain holes on the seam near the jacking points, clean em out with a straightened paper lip and jobs a good'un!

I suspect both the sill drain holes and hood drain tubes will be blocked. Rain water shouldn't be able to get to the sills unless the hood drain tubes are blocked.

I bought a bendy rod with a bottle brush on one end designed for brass musical instruments and didn't manage to dislodge as much as a Sycamore seed. No water in sills though.

Unblocked the drains now and the water drained out so thanks for the help guys.

On another note who's doing the taster track day session at silverstone on the next SS on the 17th ? And do you think it's a good idea ?
