Hi guys, just wondering if anyone runs their mk1 5's with the above tyres and if so could tell me what pressures they are running?
I bought the car a year ago with these tyres on it and they still have plenty of tread left on them so would seem silly not to be using them to their full potential.

BTW, when the time finally comes to replace them, would most of you guys stick to 185's or 195's?

Ive never seen a 14 inch wheel with a 205 tyre size or a mx5 that runs a 60 profile or you sure it's not a 16/17 inch wheel.

Standard size for a lot of Mk1s is 185/60/14. Recommended tyre pressure is 26psi and that doesn't change regardless of wheel and/or tyre size.

26 is a pretty good compromise, but worth fiddling around with it if you find it too soft or hard for your tastes! I run 27 which while probably being more of a placebo definitely feels firmer and more responsive whilst still comfy enough on the mway!

i found 30psi for fuel economy but accepting a harder ride, 24-25 psi for fun B road fun - trackdays
