Hi all,

First post so be gentle!

I bought a mk1 Eunos Roadster V-Spec two years ago, and since emigrated to the Netherlands.

Since September it's been stored in a garage in the UK.

I decided to leave it there for the time being as I didn't like the idea of driving it on the right.

However, I've now decided to drive her to France from the UK for a summer holiday. So here's my question...

If you've driven a right hand drive mx5 on the continent, how did you find it? I've not driven anything on a right hand drive road yet, and whilst that doesn't scare me, the available visibility out the offside window/mirror, does. At the best of times I can't see a great deal out of the mirror.

So, I was wondering if you have any mods, strategies, experience or ideas on how to get round this!

Failing that, the girlfriend will just have to hang her head out the window the whole way to see if there's anything coming when I want to change lanes!

Thanks!

Hmm I also can't see much out of my left hand door mirror, only have one plane of adjustment is a ball ache! Maybe replacing the glass with some curved stuff? Failing that look in your interior mirror often, that way you'll see anything moving into that position.

And of course if the roof is down then you have no blind spots... smile

I drove mine in Europe quite a few times without any problems, but then I didn't have any problems with the mirror positions on UK roads either...

Yep, just do it. Just keep looking repeatedly and carefully over your shoulder and in your mirrors, and you'll soon be confident with it. Been on holiday to France 4 times with my Mazda, and don't find it any more of a problem than with any other RH drive car I've driven abroad.smile
