I was laughing my ass off in the cinema when he pulled the cover off, expecting some sort of classic ferrari spyder/american muscle car etc. Also the later scene when they're burning around the place; thats a good way to ride in a Miata 3 up. Good choice!
I went to see Romeo and Juliet at The Globe on Tuesday, it uses the script from Shakespeare but is set in mordern times. The main prop that they use is an upside down mk1 MX5
(the sills looked rusty, so that's probably what resigned it to being a stage prop!)
