I seem to remember, years ago, a massive craze for putting MX5s inside kits to make them look like old Ferraris or just to make them look far more retro than they do normally.

Anyone here have one?

Where are they all?

Is there a secret place where they sell them?

I can't find a single finished and road ready kit-wearing one for sale... of ANY description...

A lot of work to build one. Good luck finding one already done for sale. The company that was selling the kits over here was a bit of a nightmare according to the thread linked below.

They do look pretty smart when completed though.

Last year at the Goodwood breakfast club for convertibles there were two MX5's with no screens and they both looked like the doggys doodahs.
The MX5 is the true MGB successor in as much as the basic car is not much but good to look at and somewhat of a blank canvas to create something really worth while.

have to say I love the MEVX5 and once I get some garage space and funds it'll be a project, although not for my mk1, thats too good to cover up.
