Iv currently got an intermittently sticking brake piston. iv keep giving it a good clean and lasts a bit longer but the dust boot is knackered so its only going to keep happening. Im also thinking while im at it i want to paint the calipers and brackets.
Im currently thinking of getting a full set of refurbed callipers to paint and fit but its a wee bit pricy and im only having problems with one of them.
The reason im thinking of going for a full set of refurbs is because the car is my daily driver and i think to clean up, paint and refit in a weekend will be pushing it given iv not done it before.

Anyone got any better ideas or tips?

I just did this with my m3. Buy a spare set of calipers, do them off the car. I dipped mine in vinegar for a few weeks to pull any rust out then did them in smoothrite gold aerosol, look very oem. When you fit the new ones, upgrade to braided, you may have collapsing hoses contributing to the sticking you're currently getting.
