Water in footwell, mk3 MX5
Discussion
Was out in my wife's MX5 yesterday, me driving and her in the passenger seat. She noticed a few times that water dripped on to her foot, seems to be coming from the left hand side of the passenger footwell, around where some of the fuses are.
Any ideas where that might be coming in? She said a couple of times over winter that she found the carpet mats in both footwells were a bit damp, I'd put it down to condensation but maybe something else is amiss?

No, windscreen never been changed in the 3 years she's had the car.
I was suspecting broken heater matrix, given that it hasn't rained for a few days here so seemed unlikely to me that it could be rainwater, I guess maybe it collects somewhere and sloshes out when the car is moving. Where are these scuttle plugs, or where should I look on miata.net (I'm not familiar with that site)?

Leaks from behind the dashboard are fairly common on Mk3's I'm afraid. The owner of my old Mk3 found this out when after 6 years of being garaged it was suddenly kept outside all the time.
If you remove the plastic scuttle panel below the windscreen you should be able to re-seal along there, and this should prevent further leaking.
