hot start problems..

Typical.....i'm off to the south of France in a week in my trusty mk2 & it's developed a hot start problem.....cold, it starts on the button but take her out for a spin, switch her off & go to restart and she's not interested.......

I've replaced the coil, leads & plugs recently......has anyone got any useful pointers...???

Have you checked the temperature sensor? Possible thermostat issue? That would be my guess.

Thanks for that.......it's back in today to check the temp sensor along with the crank sensor....hopefully it'll be something simples.....

Eventually tracked it down the the crank sensor - big thanks to the MX5 Doctor..!!
