scorching on rear window

Hi,

I've just (finally) taken the hard top off but I've got scorch marks at the top of the plastic window where the sun has been hitting it through the glass of the hard top. Is it possible to remove any of the scorching or is it a replace the plastic window job?

It's a 97, mk-1, windows aren't too expensive but I'm starting to get other niggles with the car and it's starting to add up
