Yes that's a fair indication.

The other is that it's an Mx5. A good repairer might be good enough to make it look as new.

Some cars seem to have a more distinct line than others. It's more likely to be due to different paints/stone-chip protection used at different times. It's a fairly distinct line on my red 01 Mk2.5 which definitely has never had a repair.
