Had the Mx5 just over three months now, had meister r's fitted and aligned by wim and this cured the scuttle shake....temporarily. It's now returned, have got some frame rails coming on a group buy in the autumn.

Is there anything else that can be done to calm down the shake as it seems to be getting worse every drive.

On an aside just fitted an ITG Maxogen induction kit and it seems to have made the engine rev more eagerly, also bum dyno seems to have registered more power but then was fitted with a just a cone filter before.

Do you have the tyre pressure right? i.e. between 26 & 30psi depending on tyres.
What tyres do you have?

Check your wheel compatibility. WIM pointed out I really need spigot rings on my Watanabes to seat them correctly, and if they were a little out on the bolts it would cause wheel shake and exaggerate scuttle shake.

I think some scuttle shake is inevitable on these cars. Frame rails sound a good move though.

Brace it, brace it again. It will be better but it has no roof, there will always be scuttle shake. Learn to enjoy scuttle shake (and rattly noises)

I still say to check the tyres first. Overinflated or mismatched tyres will cause this sort of problem.

I was getting similar problems on the mk3, until I dropped the tyre pressures.
