Sorry for a similar question to some of the others. I need to change the engine, and was wondering if anyone has recommendations for where to do it? I have been thinking about P5, but Phil is busy for the next few months and not sure the engine will last that long. I may leave it there anyway, as probably getting it supercharged after, but was wondering about other options.

Location in the UK - I would be getting a ferry to near Felixstowe, so around there would be nice but it's going to be a bit of a roadtrip anyway, so I'd prefer to travel further to a place that will do it properly if needs be. Would be a 1.8l into a 1.6l 1999 NB car.

I'll suggest Autolink which is down near Southampton. That is a bit of a trek from Felixstowe but I don't know where your road-trip is going to take you smile

Skuzzle Motorsport gets my recommendation. Nick (Owner) used to work at Autolink. He can do your supercharger conversion too. He really is the best of the best, what he doesn't know about MX5's is not worth knowing.

I can vouch for EverythingMX5 in romford. Looks a bit of a scrapyard, but I had mine done there last year and it's been absolutely fine, feels like a nice strong engine. The supplied and fitted cost was fairly competitive compared to many garages too.
