Clutch bearing woes?
Discussion
Hi all,
just had my mk1 Uk 1800 for almost a month and bought it with a noisy clutch bearing.
Had the clutch and bearing changed, but the noise seems to have come back after 500 mile road trip.
its ok moving along, but occasionally when i stop and put it in gear i get a whine until i put it in neutral and lift off the clutch again or get moving in gear, this sometimes happens in neutral with the clutch depressed too. taking my foot off the clutch it goes away.
if anyone could point me in the right direction, i'd be most grateful as i love the car to bits
thanks in advance...

Hiya, thanks for the reply,
No they didnt, guess its the difference between convenient servicing and specialists.
I've ordered a new spigot bearing and another thrust bearing from mx5parts (just in case its thrown that out again too) got a good (capable) friend with a ramp who can help me get the box out, so probably better we do it ourselves and learn a bit on the way.
You live and learn and after a few years of scooby ownership, this is deffo cheap motoring and more fun.
Thanks again
