Mazda MK3 HARDTOP

Hi
Can someone please advise me .Ive recently brought a Black mk3 mx5 2006 and am looking to buy a hardtop for it,i have phone around a few places and spoken to various people and different advise has been given.
My queries are 1. Do i need a fixing kit ? 2. Will a mk1 or mk2 roof fit a mk3 ? 3.How easy are they to fit 4. Have you got one for sale or know where i can get one without paying the earth

You will need a fixing kit. MX-5 Parts will sell you one for less than a dealer.

The roof from a mk1/2/2.5 will not fit, as they have dual outer located locking points, whereas a Mk3 has a single, central locking point.

Really easy to fit, could do with a 2nd person just because of the bulkiness of it really, but I used to remove and install mine on my own.

Afraid I haven't got one for sale, but I don't know of any either. There are usually a number on eBay - I sold mine a few years back for about £700 IIRC.

thanks for that,people keep trying to sell me ones from a mk2 and saying they will fit .. guess ill just have to keep looking

You don't need one.
I sold mine as the mk3 hood is far better than the earlier models.
Mine sits on the drive & have never had a problem, spend the money elsewhere.
