Mk1 & Mk2 Seatbelt advice please
Discussion
I've just bought 2 perfect cloth seats to replace the extremely worn and dirty cream leather ones in my mk1. Problem is, I've come to fit them today and the seat belt stalk fixes on to the seats and transmission tunnel on the ones I'm removing, but the new ones don't have the fittings. I thought all mk1's were the same in my naiveté.
Now, I've found these mk2 ones on Autolink:

They say they fit but just wondering if anyone had done this swap before and could tell me for definite?
Spending £50 on 2 sets of these now means the seats weren't the bargain of the century that they were so any other tips for getting the new seats in are welcome too.
Cheers!

Yep should fit. I think the runners on all mk1/2/2.5 models are interchangeable.
Had to do exactly the same when I swapped the seats on mine earlier in the year, 97 reg mk1 where by it bolted to the seat and the transmission tunnel, bought the mk2 runners and they bolted straight in with no modification

The only difference in the runners in all Mk1/2 models is in the seat belt attachment.
On earlier Mk1 the seat belt stalk is attached to the transmission tunnel. On later Mk1s it's on a type of runner so that it moves with the seat. On Mk2 (possibly later Mk1s too) it's attached to the seat runner itself.
The floor mounting points are the same on all of them and all the seats have the same base mounting points. When swapping seats between models you just need to mix & match the runners to make sure you will have a seat belt mounting point available.

Cheers for the responses.

I assume that I can find a bolt hole under the carpet somewhere for these?
Edited to remove stupid question.

I can pick this pair up which bolt straight to the transmission tunnel:On earlier Mk1 the seat belt stalk is attached to the transmission tunnel. On later Mk1s it's on a type of runner so that it moves with the seat. On Mk2 (possibly later Mk1s too) it's attached to the seat runner itself.
