Bilstein Dampers and Springs.

Is it worth fitting a set of Bilstein springs and dampers from the sport to my standard MK3 2.0 or would i be better off just fitting a set of Eibach springs to my standard dampers?

There are 3 sets of Bilsteins currently for sale on eBay and i have been tempted to purchase a set, however i don't want to waste my money if the general opinion is that the Eibachs on standard dampers would be a better option.

Save up & buy the MeisterR's.

Go straight for the Meisters.

I originally replaced the standard suspension on my Mk3 car with bilsteins and lowering springs. A year later I swapped onto Meisters. Steve did something similar.

Well against all of your advise i bought a set of Bilstein's, dampers and springs. I understand what you are saying about the MeisterR's but as this is primarily my wife's car i doubt that it would be money well spent.

Anyway i got a full set of low mileage Bilstein's for £75 from Ebay which i thought was a pretty good deal.

I have the car booked into MX5 Heaven in Dorset to have them fitted and a wheel alignment carried out. I will report back when this is done.

If anyone is interested MX5 Heaven have quoted me £239 to do all the work, this includes the labour, 2 new front stabiliser bars and the wheel alignment.

If it's the wifes car, you should have got the Miesters. The Bilsteins ride terribly and the Miesters are allegedly more comfortable.
