New owner - Mk2.5 on its way.

Thought I'd pop into this part of the forum and say hello.
By this evening I should have a new addition to the fleet on the driveway. Well, I say fleet, it will be two in total.
My Dad is off right now collecting a bit of an impulse eBay purchase with his trailer while I sit eager at work.
I've bagged myself a 2001 Mk2.5 1.8i. And other than colour and mileage that is pretty much all I know about it. It is Crystal Blue and has done 147,000. Currently SORN but with a full years MOT.
The plan will be one familiar to a lot on here and probably fairly predictable. It will be a dedicated track and hoon car so will be getting the stripping and tightening treatement over the current months.
Other than checking the front rails for rust and keeping my fingers crossed - anything I really need to look out for?
