Hi all

Thinking about an MX5 as a track car.

Will want a bit more poke down the line.

Was originally thinking BBR Supercharger, however a quick search shows up questionable customer after care.

What other reputable options are there?

Cheers

Do you need a road legal car?

For forced induction, Flyin' Miata. If you prefer supercharging, the Kraftwerks supercharger. For naturally aspirated builds, there are plenty of options from specialists like Skuzzle Motorsport.

If you’ve deep pockets, Performance Link do a K24 swap with turbo option

Yup, to get to, and back from, track but not as daily.

If you mean NC tuning that is NA then there's loads of options as it's a duratec engine really. 2.5 engine is about a grand and start from there I guess

Be wary of the gearbox on an ND.

There's a reason Fiat stuck with the NC's box for their version.

There are a few nice boosted Mk1 cars around which probably makes most sense money wise. Obviously you have to be very careful with not buying a rusty heap. There is one on Autotrader at the moment that looks nice but is priced a little high. (£9750)
BBR seem to be one of those marmite companies, personally i wouldnt use them after what ive read but some say they are ok just difficult to pin down.
